Don Boyd
The career of prolific British filmmaker Don Boyd spans over twenty-five years. His directing credits include Twenty-One, starring Rufus Sewell, Kleptomania, starring Patsy Kensit and Amy Irving, and Lucia, based on the opera by Donizetti. A noted documentary maker, he was nominated for a BAFTA award for his television series Ruby Wax Meets… featuring celebrities like Imelda Marcos, Bette Midler, Liza Minelli and Goldie Hawn. His many producing credits include the opera compilation feature Aria, John Schlesinger’s Honky Tonk Freeway, Lindsay Anderson’s Look Back In Anger, Julien Temple’s seminal punk movie The great Rock and Roll Swindle and several films by Derek Jarman, including The Tempest, The Last of England and War Requiem. This versatile film maker will introduce us to his latest film, the crime epic My Kingdom, starring Richard Harris.
