DON’T COME BACK ALIVE
Young Camilla never expected she would get her baptism by fire in her elite police unit. During a very high-risk operation against a religious cult in a dangerous neighborhood, Camilla finds herself in the middle of a ritual where all the members decide to simultaneously set themselves on fire… The flames spread so fast that Camilla gets third-degree burns and ends up in a coma. She’s taken to the hospital, while her friend and colleague Fatima and her boyfriend, inspector Angel, are stuck with a series of mysterious murders. There’s obviously a link, so they can’t wait for her to wake up from her coma. But when she finally does open her eyes, she doesn’t come back alone…
DON’T COME BACK ALIVE, an Argentinian project of the BIF Market (another one!), is signed Nestor Sanchez Sotelo, founder of Del Toro Films (DEAD MAN TELLS HIS OWN TALE, WHITE COFFIN, that’s them) and he decided fear would be the primal, quintessential emotion to overrule everything else. He even quotes this famous sentence from THE USUAL SUSPECTS: “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn’t exist”. Except Nestor wasn’t tricked, put it on film and is ready to unleash it on you…
