THE 4th DIMENSION
Jack is a loner confined to a workbench in the back of an antique shop. When a mysterious woman presents him with a broken antique clock, unexplainable events begin to occur. After finding Albert Einstein’s journal on his still unsolved United Field Theory, Jack becomes compulsive about analysing time and theorizing its connection to his supernatural experiences, his surreal dreams and his perception of reality, only to lead to the discovery of the biggest mystery of all; himself. The 4th Dimension examines the complex themes of dreams, the supernatural and Albert Einstein’s theories on the concept of time. Many of the dramatic and supernatural elements in the script were inspired by actual events and experiences that occurred in the lives of directors and writers Tom Mattera and Dave Mazzoni. In an intelligent and creative way, stylistically channelling David Lynch and Darren Aronofsky, they explore the very nature of existence and art. The 4th Dimension is a beautiful and strange head-trip from two very promising young filmmakers.
