From the beginning of the film the tone is set; under the influence of the bewitched doctor Howell an intoxicated adolescent kills his parents with a gun. This scene isn’t inferior to the one of Sam Peckinpah. Seven years later he follows into the footsteps of his master who now lives on a deserted island.
