THE UMBRELLA FAIRY (2025)

In ancient China all objects contain spirits, or to be exact fairies, who do their best to serve and protect their masters. When objects are no longer of use, their fairies are sent off to the Hall of Relics. For the sake of the empire, Princess Jingzhe also decides to abandon her beloved Imperial Umbrella and the fearsome Black Jade Blade, which has only caused bloodshed and suffering. She orders the Umbrella Fairy, Qingdai, to keep an eye on the dark Blade Fairy, Wanggui. Except the latter has no intention to stay put and escapes to embark on a trail of revenge and it’s up to Qingdai to stop her! Chalk this one up as yet another resounding triumph for Chinese animation films, whose breath-taking visuals can compete with some of Japan’s finest.
