In a world completely devastated by climate change, the wealthiest live in a sealed, artificially purified and controlled environment. Even reproductive rights are strictly controlled. A couple who wants to become parents have to go through an assessment. For seven days, they are subjected to a simulation of parenthood by an adult certified assessor really bringing her A-game in playing… a child! Fleur Fortuné drew inspiration from her own difficult path to motherhood for this Kafkaesque dystopia about a technostate that interferes in every fiber of human life, down to the most personal of domains.
