As the last night ferry leaves New York for Staten Island, carrying a motley crew of night owls – drunks, druggies, nightworkers, jet-lagged tourists… – a rodent unlike any other wakes up after a hundred-year nap in the ship’s bowels. And he’s hungry. Very hungry… for a very different kind of bowels! Barely a day after the Steamboat Willie character fell into the public domain, the producers of the TERRIFIER franchise announced their trash version of Mickey’s ancestor. Are we in for a Palme d’Or? Obviously not. Is it bloody, generously gory, funny and perfect for putting the limits of your vocal chords to the test? Absolutely!
