ORFEO (2026)

Orfeo, a solitary and melancholic pianist, drifts through the seedy underbelly of Milan, weaving tales of faraway places to escape the gloom of his own reality. But one evening, while playing at his favorite bar, his gaze interlocks with Eura’s. It’s a visceral and absolute connection. She becomes his obsession. A few days later, he spots her again as she enters a small door on the Via Saterna. Orfeo decides to follow her. He crosses over to the other side, into a world as strange as it is dangerous… This baroque and dreamlike ode to cinema had its première at the Venice Film Festival. It’s a feverish, hallucinatory poem that evokes Dario Argento, Federico Fellini, and Chris Marker, as well as – closer to home – Bruno Cattet and Helène Forzani.
