Marine biologist Johanne spends her days counting stray porpoises and walruses in Oslo bay. That is, until her boss sends her a whistleblower video of mass fish starvation in Vangsnes, Norway’s deepest fjord. Johanne grew up there, but vowed never to return. Now she has no choice but to confront her past. Tourists and residents are starting to disappear. The Western Salmon fish farm could well be at the root of the problem. Its revolutionary technology, originally developed by Johanne and her ex-boyfriend Erik, uses sound waves to delouse salmon. Has it awakened something in the deepest depths of the fjord?
