WE BURY THE DEAD (2026)

An electromagnetic weapon belonging to the US military accidentally explodes off the coast of Tasmania, wiping out the entire population of the island. But the dead have not evaporated. The magnetic pulse was so sudden and devastating that people were left frozen in place. The landscape is littered with these statues of death. The Australian government calls on volunteers to carry out the gruesome cleanup. Among them Ava. Her husband Mitch was on a business trip to Tasmania at the time of the explosion. She hopes to find him. Maybe he survived, because there is a rumor going round that the dead are not really dead. After the apocalyptic THESE FINAL HOURS (Bifff 2015), Zak Hilditsch puts a new spin on the zombie genre, starring Daisey Ridley (STAR WARS).
