Edition 2022
While everybody’s getting out of quarantine, we’re locking ourselves back in for 13 days. And with the greatest pleasure! Our last physical edition took place in 2019. Then, because of you-know-what, the world was put on hold. Our world began to resemble a poorly written horror movie, where the biggest cliffhangers were empty toilet paper racks in supermarkets. A world that also showed all its vulnerability, but – stubborn as a mule – apparently learned nothing from it. Until now, at least. Well, we hadn’t planned on being this serious…. After three years of frustration, doubts and postponing, we have finally arrived at this oh so symbolic edition. An anniversary combined with a very ambitious move, which is only possible thanks to the unfailing support of our sponsors and partners (and for those who think Brussels Expo is Mordor; it’s exactly eight kilometers from the city center)! The challenge equaled our enthusiasm. And for this long-awaited reunion, we put together a gigantic delicious buffet. BUT, there’s one path we refused to take. Anything pandemic-related is off limits. We’ve all been extras in the most boring disaster movie of all time and there’s no need to remind us of that. That’s why we resolutely went for an edition that should above all be festive and popular. The selection will clearly have a playful, phenomenal and fantastic touch with even a dash of cult and prestigious guests who will have a drink with you. Finally, the past few months we’ve heard many times how much you missed the BIFFF and that you’re eager to shoot out of those cinematic starting blocks and howl at the moon in unison. That’s so nice, but it’s not true at all. It’s us who missed you so much; the most unique audience in the world. We. Have. Missed. You. Soooooooooooooo. Much!
