In a nearby future where the president of the United States of America has seized a third mandate, all the while modulating his government into a full-fledged dictatorship, the states of Florida, Texas and California have decided to secede. Not naturally inclined to diplomacy, the “Leader of the Free World” doesn’t like their insolence and counters by plunging his country into a second civil war. In the midst of the debris and the indescribable chaos that reigns freely, with extremist militias running amok, a group of journalists is crossing the country, trying to figure how in God’s name they went from Disneyland to an even gorier version of the Vietnam war at home.
