SISTER (2026)

Desperate to raise money for her younger sister’s surgery, Hae-ran teams up with Tae-soo to kidnap her half-sister So-jin. So-jin wakes up confined in an unfamiliar place. Hae-ran and Tae-soo demand a hefty ransom, expecting her wealthy father to cough up the money. Upon discovering that one of her captors is her half-sister, So-jin enters a precarious alliance that blurs the lines between victim and perpetrator as she plots a counterattack against the ruthless Tae-soo. SISTER is a kidnapping thriller that makes good use of the confined space most of its story evolves in, turning it into the perfect backdrop for uncovering the hidden ties and truths between the two kidnappers and their victim. This remake of THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ALICE CREED (2009) keeps up the pace, thanks in part to strong performances. The fact that each of the characters has something to hide guarantees high tension till the end.
