Modern-day Madrid, Spain. While exchanging silly messages and video’s with her boyfriend who’s in Sydney, Andrea notices in a micro-flicker of the screen a presence behind her in the room. A man, hidden in darkness. La Plata, Argentina, in the 90’s. Camila, a slacker film student, is scrambling for an idea for her next short-film assignment. Until a random passenger on the bus catches her eye. She starts stalking her, shooting footage without her consent. But then, through the lens of her camera, Camila notices her subject isn’t alone. A presence. Of a man, hidden in darkness… Meticulously crafted, Pedro Martín-Calero’s debut film – co-written by Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s regular screenplay collaborator Isabel Peña (THE BEASTS) – has slowly found its way under our skins and hasn’t left there since.
