ULTIMATE CHABITE (2024)

Webster defines ‘chabite’ as… oh wait; there simply isn’t a definition for it! So, let’s see, ‘chabite’ is a quaint little game only the French would be loony enough to come up with. Etymologically it’s a contraction of ‘chat’ – in this case short for ‘chat perché’, meaning tag – and ‘bite’, a vulgar term for male genitalia. Freely translated, ‘dicktag’ (you’re welcome, Webster). So, on a lazy summer afternoon four friends, Kevin, Anthony, Erwan and Rodrigo, are enjoying a fun game of chabite, until one of them has the genius idea of creating an app for it, coined Ultimate Chabite. In no time the app catches on and becomes all the rage, causing a massive wave of gaming frenzy, leaving no dick untagged. What starts off pretty innocuously quickly takes a turn for the worse when a radicalized group calling themselves “Anarcho-Chabiters” stages a coup and plunge the whole of humanity in a new dark era in which society is unraveled into a clan-like structure. Everyone now worships the Chabite. Everyone… except for one woman who has the ovaries to challenge the phallocratic status quo and will try to bring an end to this fallacy.
Idiotic and completely bonkers? You betcha! But also very impressive how Julien Ivanowich and his Carnages collective were able to turn a pretty silly pitch into a full-fledged post-apocalyptic epic, and a warning to our BIFFF crowd: do not let this game of chabite get out of hand or else we will also collectively suffer the grave consequences…
